Inzamam ul Haq to venture down as a central selector

Inzamam ul Haq on Wednesday reported his choice to venture down from the post of the central selector for Pakistan cricket group.

"I understood that I did everything I could and will leave after my residency is up on July 30," Haq told a news gathering.

Inzamam said he would work in another post for the Pakistan Cricket Board as long as it didn't relate to the determination procedure.

"Cricket is my obsession yet I would prefer not to be a piece of the choice procedure."

Inzamam said he was happy with the Pakistan group's exhibition at the World Cup, telling journalists that karma did not go their direction.

Pakistan completed fifth in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 table passing up a semi-last compartment. The group was tied with New Zealand with 11 however did not meet all requirements for the last four because of a lower net run rate.

"Sadly we lost the opening match and it hard to make up the run rate in later matches," Haq told columnists.

Inzamam ul Haq shielded his choice to incorporate senior players Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik who did not perform during the competition.

"Both these players (Hafeez, Malik) had played well for Pakistan over the most recent two years."
